The story behind the song

    This is a finger snap'n, Campfire sing-along.

Theres a cabin on a family track of land, located just outside Kosse; where musicians and songwriters from all around Texas gather, once a year, at a place called Joe’s, for a 3-day camp-out, to celebrate the love of music, the outdoors and freedom.  It’s coined, The Kosse Acoustic Fest.  It has become a tradition, that each year, while at the fest, writers and musicians get together and collaborate on writing a new song.  This serves as sort of a rite of passage, into the next year’s fest.

    This song, “A Place Called Joe’s”, was written by
 Steve Starnes, Gary Olson, and Steve Kent Miller while camping at the 2020 Kosse Acoustic Fest.
